Robert Ostrander has a PhD in analytical chemistry and has been teaching chemistry, physics, astronomy, and general science since 1978. He has been interested in amateur astronomy since the age of seven when a spectacular red, blue, and green Aurora Borealis kept him awake all night. Since then, every advertisement for a telescope caught his attention and he started learning the names of the constellations. He now owns three telescopes and since March 2020 has been working to develop skills in astrophotography. Robert has more images on his Celestial Pics page.
