During the General Meeting we’ll hold a “Show-n-Tell” forum, when anyone can talk for 2-8 minutes on a gizmo, technique, book, software program, or other astronomy-related stuff that works for them. This is not an advertising opportunity, but an opportunity to share real-world, personal experiences about things that really work. No need to sign up, just show up with your gizmo and we’ll informally go from there. Traditionally, it’s a “fun” meeting, and everyone learns something new. This meeting may exceed 60 minutes.
We’ll also discuss the upcoming events:
- Messier Marathon on the best night at DHO between 3/25 and 4/3. We’ll be using the Cave, and EAA. and other personal telescopes and binoculars, BYO equipment.
- Maker Faire participation 4/2, at OCC’s SRC Arena. Solar observing, EAA demo, AP photos galore, raffle with prizes.
- Second LIght celebration for our beloved Cave telescope. Newly repaired RA motors will revive visual observing with our largest telescope…just in time for the Messier Marathon.
- Spring Clean-up Day at DHO
