Board Meeting Member Meetings
All Members, AP Group Members, and Board Members,
 
You are invited and encouraged to attend the following meetings this coming Thursday.  All three meetings will be held consecutively in Room 318 of the Science Center Addition (SCA) Building on the campus of Lemoyne College.  Park in Lot C on Springfield Rd.  The building is a few hundred feet away.  Snow is not in the forecast, so please consider joining us in person.  Vitamin O(reo) is likely to be available…first come, first served.  
 
Several Lemoyne students have formed an Astronomy Club and are likely to attend for the first time.  Let’s welcome them to SAS.  Of course, if you’re out of town, you can join us via Zoom information below.
  • 6:30-7:30P  General Meeting – Lecture title ” Buying a Telescope” by Tony Krishock, President SAS.
  • 7:30-8:30P  AP Group meeting – Time for new leadership?  Let’s talk about it.  Anyone wanna step up to lead the group?  Jeff is stepping aside his leadership role, effective January 1, 2025.
  • 8:30-9:30P Board of Directors Meeting, see attached tentative agenda.  Send me any moves, add, and changes by Wednesday afternoon, please.

John Rush is relatively new to the hobby of Astronomy. He has always had an interest in space, and a passion for the night time sky, ever since he first looked at the rings of Saturn, through his telescope, in the backyard at his parents house. Eventually he was able to visit a sky dark enough to see the Milky Way and the rest is history. During the day he works as Technical Manager at a laboratory in Liverpool, NY. However at night if it’s clear you can very often find him at DHO pointing his telescope to the sky.
