Unfortunately, we’re going to have a transit of the Syracuse Nebula (a local astronomy term for clouds) tomorrow which will block our view of anything outside of our atmosphere! The weather is shaping up to allow for a Saturday night Star Party at DHO. This month, the full moon coincides with the peak night of the Perseids meteors, but all is not lost. If the meteor show is subdued by the moon’s glare too much, you can look at the moon through the main scope. We had a very productive Board Meeting last night and an excellent clear night for public observing. Thank you to all of the guests who came out to Darling Hill Observatory last night! We enjoyed sharing our observatory and knowledge with you. A special thanks to all the members of the Community Library of Dewitt and Jamesville and to Emily Wormuth for helping them find us!
