Well, I think our first session of 2021 was a success!   We had a pretty good turnout for a cold March night. Eight people attended. Skies were crystal clear until about 9:30 when clouds rolled is from the Northwest. It was in the low 30’s, but no wind so it wasn’t too bad. SAS Members.. We are a “go” for tonight’s observing session at Darling Hill Observatory! If you’re planning to join us, please be aware that you’ll probably have to park at the base of the hill along Strong road and hike up the hill to the observatory building. We had a path cleared up the hill, but there’s no way to turn around at the top and drive down. Bring a flashlight with you for when you’re hiking back down the hill at night. ******* SAS Members ********     For those of you who are planning to attend our observing session for tonight, 3/12, we have decided to move our observing session at Darling Hill Observatory in Tully to Saturday night, 3/13. It will be a bit colder, but the skies will be clearer and we’ll have a little more time to clear snow away from the building. The wind should be a little less intense as well.   See you all Saturday!
