We had a nice ringing in of 2019 among fellow astronomers and some talk of plans for the year.
2019 is on the horizon and we have tons of stuff planned! It all starts on Tuesday 1/1/2019 with our annual New Year’s Day toast at Darling Hill Observatory. Join us at noon on 1/1/2019 for a toast to start off the new year. Please note that our driveway will likely be snowed in this time of year, so we will be parking on Strong Road and walking to the observatory. If the snow is deep you might want to bring snow shoes. We will have our December meeting on 12/14 from 7 to 9:00 at the Rochester Museum & Science Center Strasenburgh Planetarium. There will be pizza & wings, planetarium shows with the new digital star projection system and theater seating as well as a members image show. Admission is free to SAS members and family members.
