SAS Members, Our group has been informed of a proposal, currently before the town of Homer, to build several LED billboards along I-81, not far from Darling Hill Observatory. Several members of our board of directors attended a town board meeting and I spoke against the proposal. I need not tell you what LED billboards would do to the dark skies around Darling Hill. The blinding lights would harm wildlife, distract drivers, lower property values and blight the whole area not to mention ruin the dark skies we all enjoy.
